Ngorongoro Crater |
|

Ngorongoro Crater area is located at 180 km west of Arusha in Tanzania. This area is administered by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. It has a population of almost 25,000 large animals. It has the most densed population of big East African wild animals in the north central Tanzania. You will find elephants, lions, zebras, wild beats, rhinos and water buffaloes.
The Ngorongoro Crater offers spectacular setting to its visitors. From the point of view of geology, this place is remnant of a volcano, as a result of which area with steeped wall is left. The volcano of Ngorongoro was one among the world’s tallest mountain before its explosion. This crater witnesses scant migration, as compared to its neighbours, the Serengeti National Park and Masai Mara Game Reserve. Ample food and water supply is one of the primary reasons for this. It discourages migrating, but does not completely eliminate it.
You can easily find animal close up, which makes it one of the most interesting wildlife preserves in the world. Plan your next expedition to this exciting place. |
