New Seven Wonders of the World

In the year 2003, the BBC made a documentary series on the Deborah Cadbury’s book Seven Wonders of the Industrial World. It depicted the stories of the great accomplishments of engineering of 19th and 20th century. These are SS Great Eastern,    Bell Rock Lighthouse, Brooklyn Bridge, London sewerage system, First Transcontinental Railroad, Panama Canal and Hoover Dam.

Like other lists of wonders, one of the lists offered by CNN includes the seven natural wonders of the world. It incorporates Grand Canyon, Great Barrier Reef, Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Mount Everest, Aurorae, Paricutin volcano and Victoria Falls.

The people of ancient civilisations were great craftsmen and they made for us some simply superb pieces of art. These are located in different locations all over the world and are called as the forgotten wonders of the world. These include the Aztec Temple, Banaue Rice Terraces, Borobudur Temple, Inca City, Mayan Temples, Sydney Opera House and the Red Fort in India.
