The Amazon is the greatest river of the world, by all means. It carries about 20 % of all the freshwater discharge to the oceans. It is between 6,259 km/3,903 mi and 6,712 km/4, 195 mi long. One of the most potent reasons for why it is the longest river is due to its location, which is right at the equator. A warm tropical zone lies around the “belt line” of the earth, where 400 in/1016 cm rainfalls happens every year.
The Amazon River, which passes through Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela of South America, is also home to the biggest snake, Anaconda. |
